19 COMPLETED FOUR MONTHS TRAINING IN COMMERCIAL FOOD PREPARATION-

A closing ceremony and small exhibition were held on Friday, August 6, 2021 at the Eccles Skills and Youth Center through Board of Industrial Training (BIT), the beneficiaries displayed several local cuisines and floral arrangements.

So far, there are approximately eight (8) training locations offering ongoing training in Commercial Food Preparation in region four, with an additional four (4) expected to commence soon to improve the lives of persons living on the East Coast of Demerara, Georgetown, East Bank of Demerara and Soesdyke.

Coming out of BIT, Public Relations Department, it was highlighted that due to the ongoing pandemic, only fifteen to twenty persons are selected, at a time to be trained at training facilities with limited space.

For Heavy Duty Equipment Operation (HDEO), there are forty (80) beneficiaries, participating in training for either, morning or afternoon training sessions at various training institutions such as, Guyana Industrial Training Centre (GITC), Guysuco Training Center, Kuru Kuru Training Center and the New Amsterdam Technical Institute.

In the coming weeks, another batch of beneficiaries will be commencing training at the Eccles Skills and Youth Center.
